Two-minute read.

Beaches suffer from erosion. Dunes, filled with sea oats, prevent the sand from washing away into the sea. Imagine planting seeds in the dunes to help protect the shoreline. Day after day, the sand still shifts, the wind still blows, and nothing seems to happen. But beneath the surface, roots begin to grow, anchoring themselves in the sandy soil and growing stronger each day. Over time, the small plants help stabilize the beach for years to come.
Paul’s letter to the Galatians encourages them to keep planting seeds of faith. Everyone feels tired, discouraged, or unnoticed at times. Sometimes we faithfully serve, give, pray, help others, and follow God, yet we do not immediately see the results. Those moments tempt us to give up.
But the Lord sees every act of obedience, even when others don’t.
The promise of Paul’s words doesn’t happen instantly, but God’s faithfulness will provide a harvest in due time. Farmers don’t harvest the day after they plant seeds; spiritual growth and divine blessings take time. The Creator designated a season for planting, a season for waiting, and a season for reaping.
We may not see immediate results from our prayers, acts of kindness, or obedience to the Savior. The Lord works beneath the surface. What feels insignificant today becomes something beautiful and lasting tomorrow. When we plant seeds of faith, we trust God for the harvest.
“You’re one of three people God uses in my life,” a friend said to me a few days ago. Surprised, I thanked her for telling me.
“I ask God to use me, but I don’t always know if He does. Thank you for telling me, that helps spur me on.” Seeds I didn’t even know I planted helped someone I love draw closer to the Lord. The harvest comes at random times and in unexpected ways.
Don’t grow weary. Give the seeds time to grow and trust that God will produce the harvest.
