Two-minute read.

Sand dollars remind me of sugar cookies, white circles with an image pressed into them. I have never actually found one on the beach, but once, while strolling along the shore in Marco Island, a stranger gave me one he had found and didn’t want. The gift tickled my heart, and it became an instant treasure to me. Immediately, I offered unprompted praises to the Lord for the beauty of His creation.
John, author of Revelation, reminds us that when we recognize God’s greatness, we can’t help but worship. Every wave in the ocean, every grain of sand, every sand dollar exists because of the Lord’s will. Life’s problems, schedules and desires can consume us, but John shifts our focus back to the One who holds all creation together.
Around God’s throne, heavenly beings continually worship Him, declaring His worthiness. They praise the Lord because of who He is-the Creator and Sustainer of all things. When we remember God created us with purpose and sustains us daily, gratitude replaces anxiety, and worship replaces worry.
Walking along the shore that day, searching for seashells, no one directed the waves or commanded the sun to rise, yet creation follows the order God established. The same Lord who governs the vast sea also watches over our lives. If He can sustain the oceans, stars, and seasons, He can certainly sustain us. The beauty around us becomes an invitation to worship the Creator rather than merely admire His creation.
Imagine a quiet place by the water. Feel the warm sand beneath your feet and listen to the steady rhythm of the waves. Let the sounds, smells and feel of the beach remind you of God’s faithful and constant presence in your life. Respond in worship to the Creator’s blessings. Praise His name for giving you purpose and sustaining you with love.
