Rash speech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God knows I struggle with rash speech, speaking without thinking first. Texting my lifelong friend for prayer support, I asked her to pray about a relationship issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHaha!!! You make me laugh. You\u2019re always in trouble with someone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYeah, because I got a big mouth. If only I could learn to keep it shut.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How many times did my mother try to tell me? \u201cStop and Think!\u201d\u00a0 The words came from mom\u2019s mouth often. I can see the frustrated look on her face, her hand on her jutted hip, and a high-pitched tone indicating her irritation and sadness that I hadn\u2019t learned my lesson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Learning to control the tongue takes help from the Lord and a lot of intentionality. Stop and think before speaking. Don\u2019t let your words get you into trouble. Take it from someone who knows!<\/p>\n\n\n
