<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nDaily Reading:<\/strong> Isaiah 10:1-11:16<\/strong><\/a>, 2 Cor. 12:11-21<\/strong><\/a>, Psalm 56:1-13<\/strong><\/a>, Proverbs 23:6-8<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Daily Verse:<\/strong> \u201cDo not eat the bread of a man who is\u00a0stingy;\u00a0do not desire his delicacies,\u201d Prov. 23:6<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Avoid stingy hospitality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n People who grudgingly show hospitality towards others make the evening unpleasant. Instead of wanting you to enjoy their offerings, they feel resentment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cLook how much they\u2019re eating! Save some for someone else,\u201d a friend told me years ago at a social gathering at her home. \u201cThey don\u2019t even appreciate the hard work I did preparing it.\u201d\u00a0 Not saying a word, I walked away; understanding words would do no good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cEach one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.\u201d 2 Cor. 9:7<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n God doesn\u2019t want us to give grudgingly but with a cheerful heart. If entertaining people irritate you, then don\u2019t entertain them. And don\u2019t eat the bread of someone who has a stingy heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Everything we have comes from the Lord and will perish one day. Hold things loosely, and share God\u2019s blessings freely with others. Extending hospitality willingly to others glorifies our Maker and shines light into a dark world.<\/p>\n\n\n Lord, forgive us for stingy hearts. Give us opportunities to share Your blessings with others freely and with cheerful hearts. Help us shine Your light into the world around us, one act of love at a time. IJNIP.
