Solomon, described as a sage, urges greater trust in God and His reliable teachings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to Webster\u2019s Dictionary of 1828, sages possess wisdom, \u201chaving nice discernment and powers of judging, prudent, grave; as a sage counselor.\u201d\u00a0 <\/em>Solomon\u2019s writings exude wisdom and helpful advice for daily living. As we\u2019ll explore in the days ahead, the following verses give practical advice for dealing with people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n People\u2019s heart motives don\u2019t change over the centuries; jealousy, lust, and greed still exist. The object of the heart\u2019s desire may change, but not the emotion. Anger remains anger, whether at yourself, another person, or an object; the emotion doesn\u2019t change. Therefore, the wisdom in dealing with the powerful emotion still applies thousands of years later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Learn from Solomon\u2019s advice on how to avoid life\u2019s pitfalls. Grasp truth from the sage\u2019s wisdom.<\/p>\n\n\n Lord, forgive us for not listening to Your word. As we move through our days, help us become obedient to the teachings we find in scripture.
