Psalm 37:12-29<\/strong><\/a>, Proverbs 21:25-26<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Daily Verse: <\/strong>\u201cThe desire of\u00a0the sluggard kills him,\u00a0for his hands refuse to labor.\u201d Prov. 21:25<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Results of laziness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Refusing to work brings ruin. Having the physical ability to work counts as a blessing from the Lord. Raised with a father who had his toes amputated the winter of my birth because of gangrene, I witnessed perseverance in the face of disability.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dad didn\u2019t stop working when he lost his toes because of frostbite, which caused the gangrene. When he suffered poor circulation in his leg, never healing from the infection, he lost the limb and still worked. Dad couldn\u2019t do the same jobs he did, no longer running bulldozers or climbing into the cab of his dump truck, but he could monitor the construction gate of our subdivision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lazy people choose not to work, wasting their God-given ability. Nothing satisfies more than applying oneself to a task and completing it. Laziness brings ruin, but hard work brings confidence, self-esteem, satisfaction, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Taking the easy way out, coupled with hands that refuse to work, brings nothing but ruin. But putting forth effort and completing a job will get more than monetary rewards.<\/p>\n\n\n Lord, forgive us for our laziness. Help us to work hard, giving all the glory to You.\u00a0 Thank You for the ability to complete tasks and find provision in our efforts. Let us lead well as we dedicate our work to You. IJNIP.
