<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nDaily Reading:<\/strong> 1 Samuel 1:1-2:21<\/strong><\/a>, John 5:1-23<\/strong><\/a>, Psalm 105:37-45<\/strong><\/a>, Proverbs 14:28-29<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Daily Verse:<\/strong> \u201cWhoever is\u00a0slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly.\u201d Prov. 14:29<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Patience prevents folly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Battling my quick temper exhausts me, some days better than others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Starting my mornings with Bible reading helps me find victory. Getting proper rest, eating healthy, and exercising also lead me on the right path. Nothing causes more trouble than flying off the handle and saying un retractable words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And Lord knows life tests us all. When problems pile up and time seems short, anyone can succumb to a quick temper. Try counting to ten before responding during highly stressful moments or walk away and take a few deep breaths. A simple prayer, such as \u201cHelp me,\u201d can do wonders for the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cultivating understanding requires effort. Everyone has multiple opportunities every day to practice patience. Whether helping a child, holding the door for someone, or not exploding when cut off in traffic, opportunities abound for strengthening our patience muscle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Don\u2019t let a quick temper cause foolish action. Instead, develop patience as you seek understanding.<\/p>\n\n\n Lord, forgive us for those moments we let our tempers get the best of us. Please help us seek understanding in all things, practice patience, and love others well. With each day that passes, help us become more like Jesus. IJNIP.
