{"id":6940,"date":"2022-11-29T03:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-11-29T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/?p=6940"},"modified":"2022-09-14T05:24:57","modified_gmt":"2022-09-14T10:24:57","slug":"beloved","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/index.php\/2022\/11\/29\/beloved\/","title":{"rendered":"BELOVED"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>2 minute read.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Beloved.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6941\" width=\"333\" height=\"279\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Beloved.jpg 940w, https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Beloved-300x251.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Beloved-768x644.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 333px) 100vw, 333px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Daily Reading:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Daniel+6%3A1-28+&amp;version=NIV\">Daniel 6:1-28 ESV<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=2+Peter+3%3A1-18+&amp;version=ESV\">2 Peter 3:1-18 ESV<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Psalm+119%3A129-152+&amp;version=ESV\">Psalm 119:129-152 ESV<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Proverbs+28%3A21-22&amp;version=ESV\">Proverbs 28:21-22 ESV<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Daily Verse: <\/strong>\u201cBut do not overlook this one fact, <em>beloved<\/em>, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and&nbsp;a thousand years as one day.\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=2+Peter+3%3A8&amp;version=ESV\">2 Peter 3:8 ESV<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AGAPETOS (27): <\/strong>\u201cAs an adjective, from <em>agapao<\/em> (25) means \u201cloved,\u201d is used of Christ as loved by God and of believers, often, as a form of address.\u201d<a id=\"_ftnref1\" href=\"#_ftn1\">[1]<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Loved.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peter calls his audience beloved because the disciple understands the depth of God\u2019s love for them.&nbsp; Often, throughout the NT, the authors refer to their readers as beloved.&nbsp; Believing God loves us unconditionally challenges people who think they don\u2019t deserve the love God offers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We will never understand God\u2019s timing as we travel through this life.&nbsp; When life\u2019s burdens weigh you down, and the solution seems simple from your eyes but not God\u2019s, we can become negative.&nbsp; God\u2019s seeming lack of involvement makes you scratch your head. &nbsp;But our concept of time and God\u2019s differ drastically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Full bloom.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A quote I came across recently made me pause:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>\u201cUntil our time to bloom, we will for you in the soil, Lord.\u201d Anonymous<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Writing the words on a sticky note I have it hanging above my desk.&nbsp; The words remind me that God\u2019s timing and mine don\u2019t match.&nbsp; <em>\u201cwith the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and&nbsp;a thousand years as one day.\u201d<\/em><em> <\/em>Each day, we come closer to blooming as we pursue life with Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plant a seed in the soil, and watch as it grows into full maturation.&nbsp; Imagine the darkness surrounding the small kernel; how oppressive it must feel.&nbsp; But in the dark, the beauty begins as sprouts appear and make their way towards the sun, eventually bursting through, the tendrils journeying to their full potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jesus discovers us in the dark, buried in our sins.&nbsp; As we place our faith in Him, new sprouts begin to form.&nbsp; Each day, as we pursue life with Christ, we bloom into God\u2019s beautiful creation, one act of love at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What seems like a thousand years to us doesn\u2019t to God.&nbsp; His timing and ours don\u2019t align most of the time.&nbsp; But one thing remains true; God\u2019s never late or early; He always intervenes at the perfect time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Take heart today, the journey may seem long, but it will end in the blink of an eye.&nbsp; Full bloom occurs when we receive our perfected bodies in heaven.&nbsp; Trust God\u2019s timing, even if He\u2019s not working on your timetable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><a id=\"_ftn1\" href=\"#_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a> Strong, J., &amp; Strong, J.
