PARAKALEO (3870): <\/strong>\u201cThe most frequent word with this meaning, lit. denotes \u201cto call to one\u2019s side,\u201d hence, \u201cto call to one\u2019s aid.\u201d\u00a0 It is used for every kind of calling to a person which is meant to produce a particular effect, hence, with various meanings, such as \u201ccomfort, exhort, desire, call for,\u201d in addition to its significance \u201cto beseech,\u201d which has a stronger force than aiteo<\/em>.\u201d[1]<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Titus\u2019s central duty meant continually teaching practical instructions to people.  Meeting people in their faith journey and helping them move forward with applicable lessons helps them grow spiritually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reading and applying the Bible\u2019s teachings intimidates people.  Before I read scripture regularly, I misunderstood the book’s message.  The story of love and redemption within the pages of God\u2019s inspired word becomes evident when you read it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Help understand.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Titus\u2019s mission and ours teach others how to apply Christ’s lessons to their lives.  As we learn more about Jesus, we share it with those around us.  By doing so, everyone grows together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recently, I ran into someone who caused me extreme pain with their words.  Without sincerity, he apologized to get in my husband\u2019s good graces.  A friend who heard said, \u201cYou\u2019re a Christian; you have to forgive him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applying Jesus\u2019 teaching to this situation, my friend\u2019s not wrong; I have to forgive, and I did long ago.  But I also know the person\u2019s heart and words didn\u2019t match, which means he\u2019s not truly sorry.  Therefore, I forgive, but I maintain boundaries that don\u2019t allow him to repeat the offense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following Jesus requires daily inspections of our hearts and minds.  Allowing Christ full access cleanses us from within and helps us discern the world around us.  Applying Biblical principles to our lives helps us grow as we pursue Jesus wholeheartedly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let Jesus guide and direct your steps as you grow closer to Him.  Help others learn how to pursue Christ by leading the way with your actions.  Ask a trusted friend or mentor to help you discern when in doubt.  In all things, put Jesus first, and He will lead you in the way everlasting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
