I\u2019ve waited 26 days to talk about this verse with you. \u00a0It is one of my absolute favorite verses in the Bible. Do you know why? \u00a0Because it\u2019s talking about what other people think of you. We all worry about what others think. \u00a0It\u2019s innate in all of us. But we can\u2019t control what others think of us. In fact, let them think whatever they want to think, because according to this verse: if it ain\u2019t true, it won\u2019t land.

There is someone you do have to worry about though: God.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Paul, in his letter to the Galatians puts it this way, \u201cFor am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.\u201d (Galatians 1:10). Here is the hard truth in this verse, if you\u2019re pleasing God, you probably are not pleasing man. The reason is simple, if you\u2019re doing what God wants you to do, you\u2019re not doing what people want you to do. But don\u2019t worry, because an undeserved curse has nowhere to land.

C.S. Lewis, in his book \u201cThe Great Divorce\u201d said, \u201cThere are two kinds of people: those who say to God, ‘Thy will be done,’ and those to whom God says, ‘All right, then, have it your way.’
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s up to you. You can choose to focus on what God thinks or you can choose to focus on what people think. The choice is yours. Whose opinion matters more to you, God\u2019s or people? That is what it really comes down too. It is hard not to care what people think about you. If you spend more time worrying about that, you\u2019ll miss out on what God thinks. What others think won\u2019t stick, but what God thinks, that will change your life.
