{"id":640,"date":"2019-03-21T04:00:08","date_gmt":"2019-03-21T09:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/?p=640"},"modified":"2019-03-13T13:38:19","modified_gmt":"2019-03-13T18:38:19","slug":"play-the-game","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/index.php\/2019\/03\/21\/play-the-game\/","title":{"rendered":"Play the Game"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Read Proverbs Chapter 21.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">. &nbsp;\u201cA wicked person puts on a bold face, but the upright one considers his way.\u201d Proverbs 21: 29<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The original Hebrew for considers in this verse means \u201cto make firm, to establish, to prepare.\u201d &nbsp;I can\u2019t help but think of the movie <em>Field of Dreams. <\/em>The infamous line from this particular movie &nbsp;is:  \u201cIf you build it, they will come.\u201d  It was referring to a baseball field that would eventually be filled with the greatest players to have ever played the game.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wouldn\u2019t you like to be one of the greatest players to ever play the game?<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can be, simply by considering your ways.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.\u201d (Matthew 5:16 NIV) People are drawn to the light. &nbsp;In a world of darkness, the light within you is powerful.  If you let it shine, people will be drawn to you.  They won\u2019t even know why.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The term for bugs that are drawn to the light is photoaxis. &nbsp;It is theorized that the reason bugs do this, such as moths, is because it messes with their internal navigation system. &nbsp;Your light can have the same effect on others.  It can mess with their internal navigation system.  <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God\u2019s ways mess with our internal navigation system.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Forgiving instead of exacting revenging. &nbsp;Telling the truth instead of lying. Helping instead of hurting. &nbsp;All of these are rays of light we cast into the world when we consider our ways. &nbsp;When we choose to follow God\u2019s directions instead of our own, we let our light shine brightly. &nbsp;When we do, we become a source for photoaxis to take place.  We draw people to us instead of repel them away. &nbsp;Like a moth to a flame, they will come.
