<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nDaily Reading:<\/strong> 1 Chronicles 1:1-2:17 ESV<\/a>, Acts 23:11-35 ESV<\/a>, Psalm 3:1-8 ESV<\/a>, Proverbs 18:14-15 ESV<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Daily Verse: <\/strong>\u201cThe following night the Lord stood by him and said, \u201cTake courage<\/em>, for as you have testified to the facts about me in Jerusalem, so you must testify also in Rome.\u201d (Acts 23:11 ESV)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n THARSEO (2293): <\/strong>\u201cThis word means \u201cto be of good courage, of good cheer\u201d (tharsos, \u201ccourage, confidence\u201d) and is only used in the imperative mood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Good cheer.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus encourages Paul on his journey. After testifying in front of an angry mob, Paul\u2019s journey continues to Rome. The disciple’s first challenge meant defeating a plot to kill him. Only God knows what lies ahead in our path; with Jesus, we can overcome any obstacle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n People miss God\u2019s encouragement when they don\u2019t spend time with Him.\u00a0 Paul devoted his life to Christ, pursuing a relationship with the Lord with all his might.\u00a0 Understanding the Jewish scriptures inside and out, Paul knew everyone needs Jesus.\u00a0 Now, Paul\u2019s task shows how the Old Testament points to Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Paul\u2019s diligence in his task came from his intimate relationship with Jesus. One so close, Paul felt Jesus\u2019 presence and heard His words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Courageous Jesus.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Christ strengthens those who follow Him. Just as Jesus whispered in Paul\u2019s ear, He will encourage us. Often, by reading the stories of Jesus written by people who knew Him, you will find what you need. Within the scriptures, you will find Jesus cheering you onward, praying for you on the journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.\u201d (John 17:20-21 ESV<\/a>) <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Jesus holds a pep rally for you. Praying to the Father, He has your best interests at heart. Leading the way, Christ connects us with God as no one else can. Through Jesus, we find eternal life, now and forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Find courage knowing Jesus has your back. Covering you in prayer, He asks you to continue the journey. Jesus goes with you, wherever you go. In Him, you will find the strength to keep going.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2 minute read.
