{"id":5691,"date":"2022-04-16T03:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-04-16T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/?p=5691"},"modified":"2022-03-25T09:37:36","modified_gmt":"2022-03-25T14:37:36","slug":"justice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/index.php\/2022\/04\/16\/justice\/","title":{"rendered":"JUSTICE"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>2 minute read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Justice-960x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5692\" width=\"330\" height=\"352\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Justice-960x1024.jpg 960w, https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Justice-281x300.jpg 281w, https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Justice-768x819.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Justice-1440x1536.jpg 1440w, https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Justice-1921x2048.jpg 1921w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 330px) 100vw, 330px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Daily Reading:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Joshua+13%3A1-14%3A15&amp;version=ESV\">Joshua 13:1-14:15 ESV<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Luke+18%3A1-17+&amp;version=ESV\">Luke 18:1-17 ESV,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Psalm+85%3A1-13+&amp;version=ESV\">Psalm 85:1-13 ESV<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Proverbs+13%3A7-8+&amp;version=ESV\">Proverbs 13:7-8 ESV<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Daily Verse:<\/strong> \u201cAnd there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, \u2018Give me <em>justice<\/em> against my adversary.\u2019\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Luke+18%3A3&amp;version=ESV\">Luke 18:3 ESV<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EKDIKEO (1556): <\/strong>\u201cTo vindicate, retaliate, punish.&nbsp; That which proceeds from justice, means \u201cto vindicate a person\u2019s right\u201d in the parable of the unjust judge, of the \u2018vindication\u2019 of the rights of the widow.\u201d<a id=\"_ednref1\" href=\"#_edn1\">[i]<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>God vindicates.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>God\u2019s wrath exists.&nbsp; When you read through the Old Testament, you can\u2019t deny God gets vengeance against those who oppose Him.&nbsp; Reconciling God\u2019s anger with His love can challenge the best of us. &nbsp;&nbsp;Sin\u2019s consequences lead to death.&nbsp; Jesus overcame death, so we don\u2019t have to suffer the repercussions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We all deserve God\u2019s wrath for the sinfulness in our lives, every one of us.&nbsp; Accepting your sinful nature will help you become more graceful to others.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When someone hurts us, we want justice for their actions.&nbsp; But remember, you\u2019ve hurt someone too.&nbsp; Each of us has intentionally or unintentionally hurt someone\u2019s feelings.&nbsp; Instead, look for the pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Pain causes hurt.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If we don\u2019t learn how to manage our pain, we will inevitably hurt others.&nbsp; Misery loves company.&nbsp; Hurting hearts want companions. &nbsp;Cries for help come in the form of offensive actions.&nbsp; People respond unkindly instead of saying, \u201cI\u2019m hurting and don\u2019t know what to do with my pain.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Picture a cornered rattlesnake, coiled up, tail rattling, head lifted, tongue striking at you; its poison deadly.\u00a0 People\u2019s inner pain can act as a defensive rattlesnake, damaging relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The best thing to do if you encounter a rattlesnake freeze don\u2019t make a move.&nbsp; Assess the situation, then slowly back away, giving the snake room to leave.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If someone strikes out at you, don\u2019t respond.&nbsp; Instead, pray, asking God to help you see them through His eyes.&nbsp; Assessing the situation with God\u2019s lens will reveal their pain to you.&nbsp; Back away, give God room to work on their broken hearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We all deserve God&#8217;s justice.&nbsp; God gives us grace instead.&nbsp; Share the gift with everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><a id=\"_edn1\" href=\"#_ednref1\">[i]<\/a> Strong, J., &amp; Strong, J.
