There is no reference to the time of the coming, only to the manner of it.&nbsp; The use of the present tense instead of the future emphasizes the certainty of the coming.&nbsp; The unexpectedness of the coming of the thief, and the unpreparedness of those to whom He comes.\u201d<a href=\"#_edn1\" id=\"_ednref1\">[i]<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Thieves exist.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wayward thoughts lead to wrong paths.&nbsp; When we head down self-paved roads, we miss Jesus.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today\u2019s verse refers to the second coming of Christ, the day of judgment we will all face; none of us knows when.&nbsp; But missing Jesus today means not enjoying His peace that surpasses all understanding, His calm in the storm, His strength in weakness.&nbsp; Thieves lead us away from Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>False teachers, false thoughts.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every single one of us has listened to and believed a false teacher.&nbsp; In today\u2019s world, deceptive leaders abound, and the internet helps them multiply.&nbsp; Deciphering truth from lies seems impossible.&nbsp; But with Jesus, all things become possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cFor this purpose I was born and for this purpose\u00a0I have come into the world\u2014to bear witness to the truth.\u00a0Everyone who is\u00a0of the truth\u00a0listens to my voice.\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=John+18%3A37&amp;version=ESV\">John 18:37 ESV<\/a>)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apocalypse means to uncover, disclose, reveal in its original Greek form, meaning a cataclysmic event over time. <a href=\"#_edn2\" id=\"_ednref2\">[ii]<\/a> Jesus reveals truth in our lives, His purpose on earth.&nbsp; Applying Christ\u2019s teaching to our lives reveals a truth we can see no other way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When I stopped having premarital sex, I discovered a peace I\u2019d never known before.&nbsp; I learned quickly which men only had one thing in mind and which ones didn\u2019t.&nbsp; My broken heart healed from self-inflicted pain as I followed Jesus, one day at a time.&nbsp; And eventually, God led me to Ron, the love of my life, a man worth the wait and the work.&nbsp; Becoming healthy does take work; following Jesus will lead you to good health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Don\u2019t let the thieves in your life make you miss Jesus.&nbsp; Make Christ the center of your life.&nbsp; Let Him lead you to places you never thought you would go.&nbsp; Enjoy life to the fullest following the Creator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"#_ednref1\" id=\"_edn1\">[i]<\/a> Strong, J., &amp; Strong, J.
