“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7<\/i><\/b>
\nI performed my first wedding two days ago. I still can’t believe that I can now add marrying someone to my resume. \u00a0Wonderful friends who honored me when they asked me to join them together in Holy Matrimony.
\nIt was a beautiful ceremony. \u00a0The sun was shining. \u00a0It overlooked the James River. \u00a0There was a beach and an arbor. Everyone’s hearts were full of love.
\nI was nervous. \u00a0As I walked to my place to begin the ceremony, I had a simple prayer. \u00a0“Help me Lord. \u00a0Help me honor You. Help me honor them.”
\nHe surely did. \u00a0As I opened my mouth to speak, I was amazed at the words that left my mouth. They sounded sure and confident. \u00a0 They sounded like I had done this a million times. \u00a0I even ad libbed a joke. \u00a0It all felt so surreal. \u00a0I wasn’t sure if it was even me.
\nIt wasn’t me. It was all God.
\nHe honored that prayer in such a wonderful way. \u00a0I’m still reeling in amazement. \u00a0Grateful for how He showed up for me. \u00a0Thankful for the honor of being able to bless two dear friends in such a special way!
\nI cast my anxiety onto Him and He showed me how much He cared, not only for me, but for them as well.
\nThat’s how easy it is to cast your anxieties onto Him. \u00a0A simple plea for help. \u00a0He’s just waiting to show us how much He cares.
\nThis Memorial Day I can’t help but think of all the prayers our military men and women have lifted to Him. \u00a0I am so humbled by the sacrifices they make every day for someone like me.
\n“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” \u00a0John 15:13<\/i><\/b>
\nThere are men and women who are doing that for me today. \u00a0 There are men and women who have sacrificed their lives so that I could live in a land of freedom.
\nI spent this weekend free. \u00a0In addition to performing my first wedding, I played cornhole and golf. \u00a0I camped with my friends and family. \u00a0I cooked out and even went to the batting cage. \u00a0All because men and women who don’t even know me are willing to sacrifice their lives for me.
\nI am humbled by your sacrifice. \u00a0I am thankful for your commitment. \u00a0Words cannot express the deep gratitude that I have for your service. \u00a0I can never repay you for giving me such a gift.
\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you! \u00a0My prayer for you is this, the Psalm of Protection:
\nPsalm 91
\n1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
\nwill rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
\n2 I will say of the Lord, \u201cHe is my refuge and my fortress,
\nmy God, in whom I trust.\u201d
\n3 Surely he will save you
\nfrom the fowler\u2019s snare
\nand from the deadly pestilence.
\n4 He will cover you with his feathers,
\nand under his wings you will find refuge;
\nhis faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
\n5 You will not fear the terror of night,
\nnor the arrow that flies by day,
\n6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
\nnor the plague that destroys at midday.

\nten thousand at your right hand,
\nbut it will not come near you.
