“For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under the heavens.” Eccl. 3:1\u00a0 (NLT)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

I have so many ideas swirling around in my mind, I don’t know which one to work on first.\u00a0 As I started praying about what to do, I started thinking about all of the ways I’ve heard God tell me to slow down over the years.\u00a0 I never listened.<\/p>\n\n\n

Now I’m trying to listen more.\u00a0 I’m trying to trust more.\u00a0 I do have enough time to do everything God wants me to do here on earth.\u00a0 I may not have enough time to do all I want to do.\u00a0 I will have time to do everything God wants me to do.<\/p>\n\n\n

Deciphering what God wants me to do is what can be tricky.\u00a0 The constant battle going on between what I want versus what God wants is a real tension.\u00a0 Knowing I should be praying for the person who hurt me.\u00a0 Knowing I should forgive the offense.\u00a0 Knowing I’m to live my life in moderation.\u00a0 Knowing my ultimate job here on earth is to love God with all my heart, mind, body and soul\u00a0 AND love others as myself. (Mark 12:30-31)\u00a0 Knowing I should do all of those things. but doing them is a constant battle.<\/p>\n\n\n

I don’t want to pray for my enemies.\u00a0 I don’t want to forgive their offense.\u00a0 I don’t want to live my life in moderation.\u00a0 I want to eat the whole pie!\u00a0 And there are times I don’t want to love God.\u00a0 There are times I don’t want to love others.<\/p>\n\n\n

There are times I don’t want to pace myself.\u00a0 I don’t want to make a plan.\u00a0 But that is exactly what God is calling me to do.\u00a0 Pace myself.\u00a0 It’s a challenge I battle constantly.\u00a0 That’s why I found this verse today.\u00a0 To remind myself there is time.\u00a0 It doesn’t all have to be done today.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n
