{"id":517,"date":"2018-11-26T14:54:39","date_gmt":"2018-11-26T14:54:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/?p=517"},"modified":"2021-07-11T08:53:02","modified_gmt":"2021-07-11T13:53:02","slug":"lane-change","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/index.php\/2018\/11\/26\/lane-change\/","title":{"rendered":"Lane Change"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>&#8220;I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.&#8221;\u00a0 Psalm 32:8<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>God recently changed the direction of my life, very unexpectedly.\u00a0 Clearly an answer to a prayer, I&#8217;d been praying for months about the situation.\u00a0 His direction change wasn&#8217;t what I thought.\u00a0 Gut punch is the best description of the event.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve lived life with God long enough, I know when He does things like this there is a definite purpose.\u00a0 I know He wants me in a new direction, even if I don&#8217;t know which way it is.\u00a0 It might hurt for awhile.\u00a0 My heart has some areas it needs to heal in, but I know through all of it He has a plan.\u00a0 It is a good plan.\u00a0 And I want to be where He wants me to be.\u00a0 Always.<\/p>\n<p>Life with God is so much better than life any other way.<\/p>\n<p>I am embracing it completely.\u00a0 I admit, I was shocked at first.\u00a0 It knocked me to my knees and took my breath away.\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t get right back up, in fact, I&#8217;m still in the process of getting back on my feet.\u00a0 One thing is for sure, I am loving this journey He has me on completely.<\/p>\n<p>The emotions I&#8217;ve worked through over the past few weeks. The lessons He has taught me, it&#8217;s amazing.\u00a0 The conversations I&#8217;ve had I would never have had any way else.\u00a0 They have been so rich, so deep, so full of life.\u00a0 The messages I&#8217;ve heard as a result of this have been particularly interesting.\u00a0 I&#8217;m looking so closely for where God is leading me it&#8217;s been invigorating.\u00a0 I mean it is on the edge of your seat kind of stuff.<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t talk about\u00a0 where I think I&#8217;m heading.\u00a0 Not yet. There hasn&#8217;t been enough time.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not completely sure it&#8217;s what He wants.\u00a0 The first thing He has instructed me to do is slow down.\u00a0 I have learned slowing down doesn&#8217;t mean what I thought it meant.<\/p>\n<p>Slowing down simply means taking the time to enjoy life.\u00a0 Smelling the roses.\u00a0 Reading the book.\u00a0 Taking the walk.\u00a0 All things we do for ourselves, but also for our relationship with God.\u00a0 When I do these things, I&#8217;m trusting not everything has to be done today.\u00a0 I&#8217;m learning I don&#8217;t have to be the one who does everything.
