God knows your pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether you believe God understands your pain or not doesn\u2019t negate Him knowing it.  Heartache and grief are isolating emotions.  Because the hurt is personal, it\u2019s difficult for others to understand, but not God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few years into my marriage, Ron and I were enjoying an evening beside the campfire.  Working through a couples study, \u201cFive Dates\u201d<\/a> by Mike and Jennifer Foster, led to an exciting conversation.  Each \u201cdate\u201d came with a different topic.  The question we discussed was, \u201cWhat two events from your childhood impacted your life?\u201d  My immediate response was, \u201cThe death of my father.\u201d  Ron\u2019s were sports-related incidents.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ron\u2019s response surprised me.  \u201cJust because I haven\u2019t gone through what you went through doesn\u2019t mean I can\u2019t empathize.  And it doesn\u2019t mean you get to wear your pain like a badge of honor.\u201d  Ron\u2019s honesty freed me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t lose hope.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ron empathized with my pain; God completely understood it.  Jesus died on the cross, God\u2019s Son, innocent, yet sacrificed for our sins.  God knows my pain, and He knows yours.  Believing this truth will help you move through your pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God handles our pain with kid gloves.\u00a0 Through the hurts in our life, we can choose how to deal with them.\u00a0 For years, I didn\u2019t manage my heartache well.\u00a0 But when I started to give bits and pieces of the misery to God, He helped me begin to heal.\u00a0 Through my husband, God illuminated specific areas I had yet to give Him.\u00a0 After Ron spoke truth into my life, I started seeing the parts I wasn\u2019t giving God.\u00a0 Now, years later, I\u2019ve become healthier than ever.\u00a0 But first, I had to believe; God knew my pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trust God knows your pain.\u00a0 Don\u2019t believe your feelings; believe your Maker.\u00a0 He is with you in the pit.\u00a0 God loves you.\u00a0 Give Him your heartache.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lord, thank You for knowing our deepest hurts.\u00a0 Forgive us for not believing You do.\u00a0 Please help us to lay our pain at the foot of the cross.\u00a0 Begin the healing process in us as we turn to You.\u00a0 Let us empty our hurts to You.\u00a0 Fill us with Your love in return.\u00a0 IJNIP.\u00a0 Amen<\/p>\n\n\n\n
