Big is small.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nothing is too big for God; we\u2019re the ones who think it is.  Our tragedies overwhelm us, knocking us off our feet like a tidal wave.  The sheer enormity of the situation, from our perspective, is more than God can handle.  But that\u2019s not true.  Our huge is God\u2019s tiny.  Just because something is difficult for us to understand doesn\u2019t mean it\u2019s not a reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In our weekly prayer component, we talked about patience in suffering:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c<\/em><\/strong>Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand\u201d. <\/em>James 5:7-8 ESV<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

God is working in your situation.  If I were a betting woman, I\u2019d say God probably isn\u2019t doing things the way you want.   God is God; we\u2019re not.  Accomplishing things in His way is God\u2019s forte.  We answer to God; He doesn\u2019t answer to us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trust and relax.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where we landed on our discussion of patience is acceptance.  We must accept God is in control; we\u2019re not.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coaching kids, every class has a high-energy child who likes to test the limits.  When I encounter such a soul, I always establish boundaries.  If the student is trying to hi-jack the class, I say the same thing.  First, I\u2019ll get their attention by saying their name; then, I\u2019ll ask them this question, \u201cWho is the coach?\u201d  Typically, that\u2019s all I need to do to remind them; I\u2019m in control, you\u2019re not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God does the same for us.  Through our circumstances, God reminds us who He is.  What is impossible for us is possible for Him.  Nothing is too big for our God.  Without a doubt, God\u2019s plan is unfolding, one day at a time.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trust the plan.  Relax knowing God\u2019s in control. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
