{"id":4506,"date":"2021-09-24T03:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-09-24T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/?p=4506"},"modified":"2021-09-09T11:34:46","modified_gmt":"2021-09-09T16:34:46","slug":"how-spreading-the-good-news-will-make-you-please-god","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/index.php\/2021\/09\/24\/how-spreading-the-good-news-will-make-you-please-god\/","title":{"rendered":"How Spreading the Good News Will Make You Please God"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>2 minute read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/9.24-1024x948.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4507\" width=\"343\" height=\"317\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/9.24-1024x948.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/9.24-300x278.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/9.24-768x711.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/9.24-1536x1423.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/9.24-2048x1897.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 343px) 100vw, 343px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Daily Reading: <\/strong>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Jeremiah%203&amp;version=GW\">Jeremiah 3-4 GW<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1%20Thessalonians%202&amp;version=GW\">1 Thessalonians 2 GW<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>God tests our motives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have to decide in life, are we going to please God or people?&nbsp; If God is our choice, we won\u2019t please everyone.&nbsp; People who want us to take vengeance, lie, cheat, and steal won\u2019t like putting God first.&nbsp; But spreading the Good News is a daily task we do with love.&nbsp; Every act of kindness we do for Jesus pleases God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>God knows our hearts.&nbsp; If we care more about what people think, He knows.&nbsp; We may not even realize our motives aren\u2019t pure, but God does.&nbsp; Everyone wants others to like them.&nbsp; We all want to fit in with the crowd.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zebras are black and white because it helps camouflage them from predators.&nbsp; They travel as a herd, making it difficult for lions to distinguish them apart.&nbsp; But if you put a red mark on one of the zebras, the lion can spot the difference, making the easy animal prey.&nbsp; People are the same as zebras; they don\u2019t want to stand out from the crowd because they\u2019re afraid of the consequences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Faith requires trust.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following Jesus means we don\u2019t do what the rest of the crowd is doing.&nbsp; Sometimes, we\u2019ll stand alone in the face of adversity.&nbsp; Jesus had twelve disciples; three were with Him in the Garden of Gethsemane. &nbsp; Peter denied Jesus three times at His arrest, afraid of suffering the same fate.&nbsp; When Jesus was on the cross, He was alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Someone has to go first.&nbsp; Jesus had to go where we couldn\u2019t so we could enjoy eternal life with Him.&nbsp; Because Jesus suffered alone, we don\u2019t.&nbsp; God is always with us, even on our darkest days.&nbsp; You may feel like you\u2019re on a solo mission, but you aren\u2019t.&nbsp; God created us for community, not isolation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Put God first.\u00a0 Care about what God thinks of our actions.
