{"id":415,"date":"2018-08-23T23:38:44","date_gmt":"2018-08-23T23:38:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/?p=415"},"modified":"2019-12-10T08:43:56","modified_gmt":"2019-12-10T13:43:56","slug":"lord-what-does-faith-mean-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/index.php\/2018\/08\/23\/lord-what-does-faith-mean-now\/","title":{"rendered":"&quot;Lord what does faith mean now?&quot;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>&#8220;Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen.&#8221;\u00a0 Hebrews 1:1<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nI&#8217;m reading this book &#8220;Job and the Mystery of Suffering&#8221; by Richard Rohr.\u00a0 It&#8217;s really a very deep book.\u00a0 I can only read a few pages or sometimes even paragraphs at a time before I have to put it down to think about what it&#8217;s saying.\u00a0 Full transparency, my husband will probably explain it to me at some point.<br \/>\nI didn&#8217;t make it very far tonight before I stumbled across this little gem, &#8220;Faith definitions grow old as we move through our lives&#8230;Lord what does faith mean now?&#8221;\u00a0 It stopped me immediately.<br \/>\nThat&#8217;s it exactly!<br \/>\nFaith does change as you grow older.\u00a0 I wouldn&#8217;t define faith at all today like I would of twenty years ago.\u00a0 Twenty years ago I was a much different person than I am today.\u00a0 For one thing, I wasn&#8217;t going to church.\u00a0 It had been years since I had set foot in a church.<br \/>\nIn fact, I was a flight attendant back then, a little longer than twenty years ago.\u00a0 I definitely was running from God in those days, as fast as I could.\u00a0 Never got away from Him though.\u00a0 Looking back, even though I was running from Him, He was holding onto me!\u00a0 In fact, it wasn&#8217;t until I stopped running and returned to Him that I realized that.<br \/>\nBut I digress, the first thing I thought of was the first time I emailed Ron.\u00a0 That took a very large amount of faith for me to do.\u00a0 I had been hurt so many times before.
