{"id":4114,"date":"2021-07-17T03:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-07-17T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/?p=4114"},"modified":"2021-06-25T14:44:42","modified_gmt":"2021-06-25T19:44:42","slug":"how-fertilizing-with-love-will-make-you-a-farmer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/index.php\/2021\/07\/17\/how-fertilizing-with-love-will-make-you-a-farmer\/","title":{"rendered":"How Fertilizing with Love Will Make You a Farmer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>2 minute read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/7.17-1-1024x920.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4116\" width=\"331\" height=\"297\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/7.17-1-1024x920.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/7.17-1-300x270.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/7.17-1-768x690.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/7.17-1-1536x1380.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/7.17-1-2048x1841.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 331px) 100vw, 331px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Daily Reading: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1%20Chronicles%206&amp;version=GW\">1 Chronicles 6 GW<\/a><strong>; <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Luke%208&amp;version=GW\">Luke 8 GW<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Love is God\u2019s fertilizer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jesus parables are my favorite part of the New Testament; today\u2019s comes from one of the most famous, the good soil.&nbsp; A farmer sows seed in different places.&nbsp; Some seeds get trampled, some eaten by birds, others planted in bad soil, and some planted among thornbushes that choked them.&nbsp; However, the seed planted in good soil produced a hundred times more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One kernel of corn produces thousands.&nbsp; One acorn grows a mighty oak, millions of times larger, creating even more acorns.&nbsp; The size of the seed doesn\u2019t equate to the amount of fruit it will produce.&nbsp; When we plant single seeds, God multiplies them.&nbsp; But we must plant them in fertile soil for them to grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Fertilize the soil.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When farmers are preparing their land for planting, they fertilize the soil.&nbsp; When I was a child, growing up in the country, the smell of manure wafting through my elementary school windows meant spring had come.&nbsp; Adding nutrients turned dead soil into good soil, allowing crops to grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If we want people to receive the good news of Christ, we must first love them.&nbsp; Actions of hate don\u2019t create good soil.&nbsp; Judging and condemning others is not what Christ did, neither should we.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What Jesus did was love people to the point of death, overcoming it with His resurrection.&nbsp; In Christ, we find eternal life.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jesus loved us.&nbsp; We\u2019re to love as well.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Becoming better lovers of people makes us better farmers.&nbsp; Through kind actions, we fertilize the soil.
