“Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.”\u00a0 Jeremiah 29:12<\/strong><\/em>
\nI love knowing God is always available.\u00a0 I love knowing when I call on Him I will never get a busy line.\u00a0 I love how intricately He is involved in our lives.\u00a0 Often times we don’t even realize how close He truly is.
\nI’m sitting in the hospital as I write this.\u00a0 I look around at the people sitting here in this waiting room with me and wonder why they are here?\u00a0 I always wonder if they know God?\u00a0 If they have His peace which surpasses all understanding (Phil. 4:7)?
\nI have that.\u00a0 Even though I’m scared.\u00a0 Even though I’m not sure of what this day will bring, I have His peace.\u00a0 I’m not saying I don’t wrestle with God.\u00a0 I do.\u00a0 I get angry at Him.\u00a0 I cry out to Him and ask Him why?\u00a0 It always makes me think of when Jacob wrestled with God:
\n\u00a0“<\/strong><\/em><\/sup>So Jacob was left alone,\u00a0and a man\u00a0wrestled with him till daybreak.<\/strong><\/em><\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup>When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob\u2019s hip\u00a0so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man.<\/span>\u00a0Then the man said, \u201cLet me go, for it is daybreak.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/em>
\nBut Jacob replied, \u201cI will not let you go unless you bless me.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/em>
\n\u00a0<\/sup>The man asked him, \u201cWhat is your name?\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/em>
\n\u201cJacob,\u201d\u00a0he answered.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/em>
\nThen the man said, \u201cYour name\u00a0will no longer be Jacob, but Israel,[a<\/a>]<\/sup>\u00a0because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.\u201d\u00a0 Genesis 32:24-28<\/span><\/strong><\/em>
\nWhen you wrestle with God you are never the same again.\u00a0 It always changes you.\u00a0 It always draws you closer to Him.
\nIt’s funny, as I sit here thinking about past hospital sits I’ve done for people I love, they are special memories.\u00a0 It’s not something I want to do, don’t get me wrong.\u00a0 It’s just at times like this, I feel God’s presence in such a special way.\u00a0 I feel the prayers being prayed for us right now.\u00a0 I feel His comfort, His strength, His love.
\nIt’s in the kind words of the receptionist who went out of her way to find out information for us.\u00a0 It’s in the smile of the nurse who walked us to the next stage of this day.\u00a0 It’s in the hands of the Doctor as He cares for our loved one.\u00a0 It’s in calming music playing softly in the background.

\nNeed some encouragement today?<\/em>
\nIf you look for it, you will see it.\u00a0<\/em>
\nIf you need it, go find it.\u00a0<\/em>
\nIf you think it, say it.\u00a0<\/em>
\nIf you preach it, you will feel it!<\/em>
\nI love God’s timing.\u00a0 It was exactly what I needed to hear.\u00a0 It is all true.\u00a0 If you call out to God, He will answer.\u00a0 He will encourage.\u00a0 He will strengthen.\u00a0 He will persevere.
