“You,\u00a0Lord<\/span>, are my lamp;\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0Lord<\/span>\u00a0turns my darkness into light.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/sup>With your help I can advance against a troop;\u00a0<\/span>with my God I can scale a wall.” 2 Samuel 22:29-30<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/em>
\nI love this verse.\u00a0 It was in my Bible reading yesterday and I haven’t stopped thinking about it.\u00a0 Partly, I’m sure because it is now the screen saver on my Ipad…both screens.
\nGod is really trying to tell me something through it.\u00a0 You know how I know?\u00a0 I was only going to make it my lock screen saver.\u00a0 I really loved the picture I had on my Ipad prior, just an instant source of peace for me.\u00a0 However, as I was setting it, I felt this instant sense I needed to do both.\u00a0 It’s a verse God wants me to ponder over and pray about.\u00a0 I need to memorize it.
\nIt’s interesting at the timing of it too.\u00a0 This past week I have felt defeated.\u00a0 I have felt challenged at every turn.\u00a0 Everything was hard this past week. Nothing came easily.\u00a0 \u00a0 Discouraged would definitely have been how I described myself up until yesterday morning.\u00a0 \u00a0Ever since I read this verse and started thinking about it, I’ve begun to feel uplifted.\u00a0 I’m ready to go into battle again.\u00a0 As Paul tells us in his letter to the Ephesians, our battle isn’t against flesh and blood…but against spiritual forces (Eph. 6:12).
\nI need reminded of that every now and then.\u00a0 People tend to wear me out.\u00a0 But once I remember my battle isn’t with them I can gain new perspective.\u00a0 It’s not the people who are wearing me out, it’s the spiritual battle.\u00a0 Once I remember that the battle is spiritual, I instantly remember it is already won.\u00a0 I’m not fighting it alone.\u00a0 God has equipped me with everything I need for the victory.\u00a0 Usually, it means getting out of the way and letting Him do His thing.
\nWhatever battle you’re fighting today or this week, just remember, you’re not alone!
