{"id":3108,"date":"2021-01-14T03:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-01-14T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/?p=3108"},"modified":"2021-01-05T13:21:57","modified_gmt":"2021-01-05T18:21:57","slug":"who-will-make-you-clean","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/index.php\/2021\/01\/14\/who-will-make-you-clean\/","title":{"rendered":"Who Will Make You Clean?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2 minute read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"506\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/unnamed.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3109\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/unnamed.jpg 506w, https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/unnamed-296x300.jpg 296w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 506px) 100vw, 506px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Daily Reading: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Genesis%2028-29&amp;version=NIV\">Genesis 28-29 GW<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Matthew%208&amp;version=GW\">Matthew 8 GW<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus cleans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In today\u2019s verse, a man with a severe skin disease asks Jesus if He is willing to clean him.&nbsp; Jesus\u2019s reply, yes.&nbsp; Although the healing is physical in this instance, Jesus also heals emotionally.&nbsp; A cleaning of our soul occurs when we bear all to Jesus.&nbsp; As we confess whatever sin we\u2019ve condemned ourselves for, He responds in love.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus forgives.&nbsp; Because He showers grace on our imperfections, we become clean.&nbsp; The more we unburden to Jesus, the more He washes us in His love.&nbsp; Confessing our faults paves the way for forgiveness.&nbsp; When we begin to understand God\u2019s grace for us, we extend it not only to others but ourselves as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes the hardest person we have to forgive is ourselves.&nbsp; Let Jesus help you.&nbsp; To receive His cleaning, you first have to ask.&nbsp; His grace allows you to approach Him without fear.&nbsp; No matter what the offense to confess, He will receive you with love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Jesus will clean you.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you ask Jesus if He is willing to clean you, His answer is yes.&nbsp; No one judges you harder than you.&nbsp; God isn\u2019t in heaven, making a list of all your flaws.&nbsp; He\u2019s looking at you with love-filled eyes, His child, His creation.&nbsp; We\u2019re the ones who think God hates us for whatever reason.&nbsp; But God isn\u2019t capable of hating; He is love.&nbsp; And He wants you to love yourself.&nbsp; Allow Jesus to clean you.&nbsp; Present your burdens to Him; let Him wash them away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While putting away Christmas decorations, I put a hole in our garage ceiling.&nbsp; The angst I felt at having to tell my husband was immediate.
