{"id":2708,"date":"2020-11-16T03:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-11-16T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/?p=2708"},"modified":"2020-11-02T13:38:29","modified_gmt":"2020-11-02T18:38:29","slug":"2708","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/index.php\/2020\/11\/16\/2708\/","title":{"rendered":"YOU NEVER KNOW WHO YOU\u2019RE ENTERTAINING"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>4 minute read<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u201cDo not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.\u201d (Hebrews 13:2 NIV)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Angels are amongst us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One angel I met was a gentleman in college.&nbsp; On my commute home from class one day, I accidentally ran into his car.&nbsp; I have never forgotten his kindness.&nbsp; He immediately recognized I was a broke college student.&nbsp; Even though the accident was my fault, he didn\u2019t charge me with the crime.&nbsp; His car damaged more than mine, yet he didn\u2019t make me pay.&nbsp; Instead, he showed me kindness and let me go.&nbsp; To this day, I do not know his name.&nbsp; Sometimes I wonder if God sent him to save me from a worse accident.&nbsp; Someone needed to slow me down in those days, that angel did.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Angels exist.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>God created angels.&nbsp; Zondervan\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/zondervanacademic.com\/blog\/biblical-facts-angels\">analysis of angels<\/a> is worth reading.&nbsp; Over 280 times, the word \u201cangel\u201d appears in the Bible.&nbsp; According to today\u2019s verse, we may not recognize them.&nbsp; Abraham, who God used to start the Jewish nation, recognized angels when he saw them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cAbraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground.\u201d (<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Genesis+18%3A2&amp;version=NIV\"><em>Genesis 18:2 NIV<\/em><\/a><em>)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abraham\u2019s first action is to offer them hospitality:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cLet a little water be brought, and then you may all wash your feet and rest under this tree.
