{"id":2533,"date":"2020-09-23T03:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-09-23T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/?p=2533"},"modified":"2020-09-11T10:09:48","modified_gmt":"2020-09-11T15:09:48","slug":"god-is-gracious-to-you-so-people-get-to-know-him","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/index.php\/2020\/09\/23\/god-is-gracious-to-you-so-people-get-to-know-him\/","title":{"rendered":"GOD IS GRACIOUS TO YOU, SO PEOPLE GET TO KNOW HIM"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\u201cMay God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us\u2014so that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations.\u201d (Psalm 67:1-2 NIV)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Networking is key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Part of the reason God blesses us is so that others\u2019 are drawn to Him through us.&nbsp; We are God\u2019s network.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Raised in a business family, and with an undergraduate degree in Business Management, I understand networking.&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/terms\/n\/networking.asp#:~:text=Networking%20is%20the%20exchange%20of,single%20point%20of%20common%20ground.\">According to Investopedia<\/a>:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Networking is the exchange of information and ideas among people with a common profession or special interest, usually in an informal social setting. Networking often begins with a single point of common ground.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Blessings are common ground.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why someone wouldn\u2019t want God\u2019s blessing in their life, I don\u2019t know.&nbsp; Most people understand a gift from God when they receive it.&nbsp; As we thank Him for what He has done for us, we reflect His goodness to the world.&nbsp; As people witness God\u2019s work in our lives, they begin to desire it for themselves.&nbsp; His network expands with blessings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As Christ-followers, our network is the world.&nbsp; Whoever we interact with on a personal basis, God loves.&nbsp; If we need a point of agreement as we draw them into the network, it is God\u2019s love.&nbsp; The same attachment He has for us, He has for others.&nbsp; We may not think they are worthy of God\u2019s love, but then, neither are we:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cFor all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God\u201d (<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Romans%203%3A23&amp;version=NIV\"><em>Romans 3:23 NIV<\/em><\/a><em>)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Asking God to bless your life is okay.&nbsp; He wants to bless you.&nbsp; My husband and I pray daily for God\u2019s blessing and favor in our lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cWe should seek God\u2019s blessing so that our gladness in God will spread to all the nations.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/bible.org\/seriespage\/psalm-67-why-seek-god%E2%80%99s-blessing\">Pastor Steven J. Cole<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God wants to bless you.&nbsp; Ask Him to bless your life, your family, and your friend\u2019s lives.&nbsp; Watch as He pours into your life in ways you can\u2019t even imagine.&nbsp; Recognizing blessings comes in all kinds of forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This morning when I was getting dressed, I thanked God for my legs.&nbsp; The fact I can walk is a blessing from God.&nbsp; Having a roof over my head, clothes to wear, and food to eat is something not everyone has.&nbsp; A thought ran through my mind, \u201cWhat if we started our day by thanking God for the things we take for granted?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All those things we take for granted are blessings\u2014each of them is a ray of God\u2019s light shining in our lives.
