{"id":2531,"date":"2020-09-22T03:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-09-22T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/?p=2531"},"modified":"2020-09-11T07:57:37","modified_gmt":"2020-09-11T12:57:37","slug":"why-newfound-faith-is-exciting-in-your-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/index.php\/2020\/09\/22\/why-newfound-faith-is-exciting-in-your-life\/","title":{"rendered":"WHY NEWFOUND FAITH IS EXCITING IN YOUR LIFE"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>\u201cFor this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God\u2019s people,\u00a0 I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.\u201d (Ephesians 1:15-16 NIV)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re a new follower of Jesus, you\u2019ve found freedom.&nbsp; The journey is beginning to an adventure you can\u2019t imagine.&nbsp; As you get to know Him more and more, your love for Him will deepen.&nbsp; Enthusiasm for your new level of understanding about Jesus is contagious to those around you.&nbsp; Life has meaning and purpose different from before.&nbsp; Dots will connect as you realize, even though you weren\u2019t following Jesus, He was pursuing you.&nbsp; Conversations from long ago now make sense.&nbsp; Things you thought were nothing are now something\u2014perspective changes as you look at the world through Jesus\u2019s eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And if you can\u2019t remember a time when you weren\u2019t following Jesus, new believers remind you.&nbsp; Nothing is more exhilarating for me than a conversation with someone new to the faith.&nbsp; The questions they ask are challenging.&nbsp; Inevitably, they re-invigorate me and remind me to have child-like faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u201c<\/em><\/strong><em>And he said: \u201cTruly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.\u201d (<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Matthew%2018%3A3&amp;version=NIV\"><em>Matthew 18:3 NIV<\/em><\/a><em>)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Faith frees us.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we pursue a life with God, we find freedom.&nbsp; Recently, God revealed a lie I internalized when I was a child.&nbsp; Working through the feelings and emotions of that revelation freed me.&nbsp; Letting go of the things in life that hinder us from living life to the fullest is liberating.&nbsp; We all have the same problem; we don\u2019t know what lies we believe, which keeps us in bondage.&nbsp; Jesus came to release us from lies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cYou are a king, then!\u201d said Pilate.&nbsp; Jesus answered, \u201cYou say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth.
