{"id":251,"date":"2018-01-19T20:27:50","date_gmt":"2018-01-19T20:27:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/?p=251"},"modified":"2019-12-10T08:44:27","modified_gmt":"2019-12-10T13:44:27","slug":"short-sprint","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/index.php\/2018\/01\/19\/short-sprint\/","title":{"rendered":"Short Sprint"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>&#8220;Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.&#8221;\u00a0 1 Thessalonians 5:11<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nI was listening to a message by Greg Surratt, Pastor of Seacoast church in South Carolina.\u00a0 I loved what he does instead of making resolutions at the beginning of the New Year.<br \/>\nHe chooses to do short sprints.<br \/>\nA short sprint, as defined by him, is choosing a verse, such as 1 Thessalonians 5:11 and then committing to doing it for a period of time.\u00a0 It could be 7 days, 14 days or 21 days, whatever he chooses.<br \/>\nHis church was starting a 21 day fast, so he was going to do a short sprint during that time.\u00a0 I can&#8217;t remember what verse he had chosen.\u00a0 What a great partner practice during a fast.\u00a0 I wish I had listened to this message at the beginning of our 21 day fast.<br \/>\nNonetheless, you can start a short sprint at any time.\u00a0 Of course, I now have the desire to start a short sprint.<br \/>\nMy first short sprint is going to be all about 1 Thessalonians 5:11.
