{"id":2402,"date":"2020-08-12T03:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-08-12T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/?p=2402"},"modified":"2020-07-30T07:08:30","modified_gmt":"2020-07-30T12:08:30","slug":"what-blessing-can-you-only-receive-from-god","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/index.php\/2020\/08\/12\/what-blessing-can-you-only-receive-from-god\/","title":{"rendered":"WHAT BLESSING CAN YOU ONLY RECEIVE FROM GOD"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>\u201cBlessed is the one whose sin the Lord does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deceit.\u201d (Psalm 32:2 NIV)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>God\u2019s blessing is forgiving your sin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>God\u2019s grace is available for all who believe in Him.&nbsp; When you humble yourself and admit, \u201cI\u2019m a sinner,\u201d to God, He forgives you.&nbsp; Not only does He forgive you, He can no longer see your sin:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cAs far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.\u201d (<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Psalm%20103:12&amp;version=NIV\"><em>Psalm 103:12 NIV<\/em><\/a><em>)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>God forgives our sin, He removes it from us.&nbsp; What does that mean about future sin?&nbsp; Truth is, we never stop sinning.&nbsp; We\u2019re human, perfection is not part of the definition.&nbsp; We all have struggles which we battle daily.&nbsp; We know the right thing to do, we do the wrong thing.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Nothing separates us from God\u2019s love.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cFor I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, <\/em><strong><em>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><em>neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.\u201d (Romans 8:38-39 NIV)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Future sin won\u2019t separate us from God.&nbsp; However, that fact doesn\u2019t mean we have free reign to do whatever we want.&nbsp; Sin has consequences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A memorable moment in my childhood involved my little brother tattling on us.&nbsp; Three siblings in the house, we decided to try smoking.&nbsp; We found cigarette butts from my Dad and smoked them.&nbsp; My little brother, also smoking, told my Mom.&nbsp; Her punishment, she gave us what we wanted.&nbsp; She had us smoke a cigarette.&nbsp; Needless to say, we couldn\u2019t.&nbsp; My oldest brother inhaled, turned green and was immediately sick.&nbsp; My little brother and I didn\u2019t even try.&nbsp; None smoked again after that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We experienced grace from my Mom.&nbsp; In order to teach us, she gave us what we wanted.
