\u201cDo not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God\u2019s will is\u2014his good, pleasing and perfect will.\u201d  (Romans 12:2 NIV)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t conform.  Don\u2019t do what everyone else is doing, just because they\u2019re doing it.  My mother said it this way, \u201cJust because everyone else jumps in a lake, doesn\u2019t mean you have too.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mob mentality is real:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mob mentality,<\/em><\/a> also called herd mentality, describes how humans adopt behaviors, buy merchandise, and follow trends based on their circle of influence.  It explains how one\u2019s point of view can be easily altered by those around them.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re experiencing mob mentality right now with COVID. Fear and panic grips our world.  As I write, numbers are on the rise for the second time.  People\u2019s fright levels rise every time the number of cases rise. Not conforming to the world is not just a daily battle, but a minute-by-minute battle.  Everyone has jumped into the lake of fear, but you don\u2019t have too.  You can let God\u2019s peace flow into your life, no matter what the rest of the world is doing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Know God, know peace.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transform your mind by letting God\u2019s word fill it.  Memorizing scripture is key to finding peace in the minute-by-minute battle of life.  Satan is always trying to steal your peace.  But Jesus came to give you life:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.\u201d (John 10:10 NIV)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re going to spend time memorizing scripture, this one is a good place to start:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDo not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. <\/em> <\/em><\/strong>And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.\u201d (Phil. 4:6-7 NIV)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Life is short.\u00a0 Whether you live 10 years or a 100, life is short.\u00a0 Don\u2019t let fear of the unknown stop you from enjoying the known.\u00a0 Enjoy the people God has placed around you.\u00a0 Thank Him they are alive.\u00a0 Praise Him for allowing You to have their love in your life.\u00a0 Hug your children and grandchildren.\u00a0 Everyday is a day that will never be again.\u00a0 If you let fear lead your life, you will let the days slip away.\u00a0 You will miss the people God has given you because you\u2019re focused on your fear.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Live!  Thank God for what you do have.  Lift up your prayer requests to Him.  Let His peace descend upon you as you trust Him.  Live this day.  Enjoy where God has planted you.  Enjoy the people He has planted around you.  Allow God\u2019s peace to help you live life to the fullest; today! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
