{"id":2334,"date":"2020-07-23T03:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-07-23T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/?p=2334"},"modified":"2020-07-11T14:26:55","modified_gmt":"2020-07-11T19:26:55","slug":"your-struggles-cant-compare-to-gods-glory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/index.php\/2020\/07\/23\/your-struggles-cant-compare-to-gods-glory\/","title":{"rendered":"YOUR STRUGGLES CAN\u2019T COMPARE TO GOD\u2019S GLORY"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>\u201cI consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.\u201d (Romans 8:18 NIV)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our struggles, God\u2019s glory.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paul was honest.&nbsp; He doesn\u2019t hide the fact, following Christ isn\u2019t easy.&nbsp; Hardship is a part of a Christ follower\u2019s life.&nbsp; Hardship is a part of people\u2019s lives who don\u2019t follow Christ as well.&nbsp; Hardship is a part of everyone\u2019s life.&nbsp; Some people just conceal their pain better than others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paul didn\u2019t try to hide his pain.&nbsp; He was honest about his struggles.&nbsp; He glorified God with each one.&nbsp; He laid his aches and pains at his Father\u2019s feet, then he picked up his cross and kept going.&nbsp; Paul never forgot what Jesus did for him on the road to Damascus.&nbsp; On that dirt path, Paul turned his life over to Jesus.&nbsp; He was never the same again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Our struggles, God\u2019s glory.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We cannot comprehend God\u2019s glory.&nbsp; We don\u2019t have the capacity to understand His true magnificence.&nbsp; Only when we join Him in heaven will we understand.&nbsp; Until then, we are to wait patiently:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u201c<\/em><\/strong><em>Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. <\/em><strong><em>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><em>For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? <\/em><strong><em>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><em>But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.\u201d (<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Romans+8%3A23-25&amp;version=NIV\"><em>Romans 8:23-25 NIV<\/em><\/a><em>)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What carries us through the struggles of today is the hope of Jesus. \u00a0Because of Him, our heavenly Father welcomes us into His arms..\u00a0 When we die, they are wide open, ready to wrap around us, drawing us into the heavenly realm.\u00a0 His words to us: <em>\u201cWell done, good and faithful servant\u201d<\/em> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Matthew+25%3A23&amp;version=NIV\">Matthew 25:23 NIV<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This life and everything in it is temporary.&nbsp; Whatever situation you\u2019re facing today, it will pass.&nbsp; Nothing lasts forever:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cFor our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.\u201d (<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=2%20Corinthians%204:17&amp;version=NIV\"><em>2 Corinthians 4:17 NIV<\/em><\/a><em>)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When life is getting the best of you, remember it is temporary.&nbsp; As Paul says, our troubles are \u201clight and momentary.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>COVID isn\u2019t going to last forever.
