{"id":2258,"date":"2020-07-03T03:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-07-03T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/?p=2258"},"modified":"2020-06-25T12:34:32","modified_gmt":"2020-06-25T17:34:32","slug":"what-paul-did-when-he-was-arrested","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/index.php\/2020\/07\/03\/what-paul-did-when-he-was-arrested\/","title":{"rendered":"WHAT PAUL DID WHEN HE WAS ARRESTED"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\u201cAs the soldiers were about to take Paul into the barracks, he asked the commander, \u201cMay I say something to you?\u201d (Acts 21:37 NIV)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When arrested, Paul had one request, to share the gospel.&nbsp; The people he\u2019s sharing the gospel with are the ones imprisoning him.&nbsp; He\u2019s offering them the hope of eternal life, even though they treat his life so poorly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paul\u2019s passion&nbsp; for Jesus is inspiring. Beating and attacks were a normal part of Paul\u2019s life.&nbsp; We don\u2019t know struggles like Paul knew struggles.&nbsp; But his struggles only spurred him on more.&nbsp; Paul\u2019s arrest, to him, was opportunity to share the gospel with that particular group of people.&nbsp; Paul got God.&nbsp; He understood, wherever He was is where God wanted him to be.&nbsp; His mission is always the same: love them like Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Paul\u2019s arrest was an opportunity.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When God leads our life, we find ourselves in interesting situations.&nbsp; Paul experienced beatings, imprisonment and a shipwreck.  He had a thorn of some sort in his life God wouldn\u2019t take away (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=2+Corinthians+12%3A7-9&amp;version=NIV\">2 Cor. 12:7-9 NIV<\/a>).&nbsp; His life was a life of suffering by human standards.&nbsp; Yet he viewed every hardship as an opportunity to share the gospel with others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\u201c<\/em><\/strong><em>I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me.
