{"id":2231,"date":"2020-06-23T03:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-06-23T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/?p=2231"},"modified":"2020-06-04T13:39:58","modified_gmt":"2020-06-04T18:39:58","slug":"you-can-make-turning-to-god-easy-for-people","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/index.php\/2020\/06\/23\/you-can-make-turning-to-god-easy-for-people\/","title":{"rendered":"YOU CAN MAKE TURNING TO GOD EASY FOR PEOPLE"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\u201cIt is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God.\u201d (Acts 15:19 NIV)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Turning to God isn\u2019t easy.&nbsp; You can\u2019t touch or see God like you can a person.&nbsp; Believing in His existence is a huge step of faith for a lot of people.&nbsp; We want what is tangible.&nbsp; God is intangible.&nbsp; I can understand why people have a hard time believing in Him.&nbsp; For those of us who do believe, we can make believing easier for others.&nbsp; The best way, accept them just as they are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The best way, accept them just as they are.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today\u2019s verse comes from the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Council_of_Jerusalem\">Jerusalem Council<\/a>.&nbsp; The purpose of the council was to debate circumcision of the Gentiles.&nbsp; The Jewish leaders wanted them circumcised.&nbsp; After much discussion, the decision was made.&nbsp; Circumcision is unnecessary for the Gentiles.&nbsp; Peter argued God hadn\u2019t discriminated when He sent the Holy Spirit.&nbsp; Peter also pointed out why make them abide by a law that the Jews hadn\u2019t kept.&nbsp; Peter concluded his summation with this statement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\u201c<\/em><\/strong><em>No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.\u201d (<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Acts+15%3A11&amp;version=NIV\"><em>Acts 15:11 NIV<\/em><\/a><em>)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Grace of Jesus is our salvation.
