Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.&#8221; Deut. 31:6<\/i><\/b><br \/>\nOur Pastor always says, you\u2019re either a camper or a cruiser, but you can\u2019t be both. \u00a0I have found we are the exception to his rule.<br \/>\nI was actually afraid I would love cruising so much I wouldn\u2019t want to camp anymore. \u00a0However, I\u2019ve found there are a lot of similarities between the two.<br \/>\nThey are both a way of getting away from your normal life. \u00a0Both allow the luxury of unplugging to whatever extent you want. \u00a0No cell phones, no WiFi, no connection with the outside world if you want. \u00a0I have yet found it possible to completely unplug. \u00a0I\u2019m a work in progress.<br \/>\nBoth are filled with people. \u00a0One of the things I\u2019ve been surprised about cruising is the amount of people on the ship. \u00a0 I find myself going to my stateroom just to get away from people. \u00a0It\u2019s the same with camping, they pack them into the campground. \u00a0You can be as involved, or uninvolved as you choose.<br \/>\nThen there is the entertainment. \u00a0Both offer a variety of all types of activities. \u00a0From adult to children there is something for everyone. \u00a0One just is more sea related, the other land.<br \/>\nAnd the food. \u00a0One big difference is the food. \u00a0On the cruise it is constantly available. \u00a0Of course with camping you have to prepare it your self, but there is always plenty. \u00a0I will definitely be dieting when I get home from the weight I\u2019ve gained this week.<br \/>\nThe best constant is God! \u00a0He camps and He cruises. \u00a0I have loved finding God on this ship. \u00a0He is in the sunrise in the morning, the sunset in the evening and the blue waves which carry us. \u00a0He has been in the conversations I have had with the people I have met. \u00a0I have found quiet time with Him which has rejuvenated me, reinvigorated me and given me back my passion.<br \/>\nWhether surrounded by the smells of the campground or the salty air, I find Him there. \u00a0In all I do He is there. \u00a0The farther He takes me, \u00a0whether far from home or close to it, He is there.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cBe strong and courageous.
