{"id":1939,"date":"2020-03-22T03:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-03-22T08:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/?p=1939"},"modified":"2020-03-11T09:26:31","modified_gmt":"2020-03-11T14:26:31","slug":"1939","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/index.php\/2020\/03\/22\/1939\/","title":{"rendered":"WHO HAS THE POWER TO MAKE YOU A SINGER?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cThe whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy.\u201d&nbsp; (Psalm 65:8 NIV)<\/em><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus has the power to make you a singer.&nbsp; Not only will you be singing, they will be songs of joy all day long.&nbsp; Our lives are our song, we determine what we sing and who our conductor will be.&nbsp; When we give Jesus the baton, we can sing like never before.  <a href=\"https:\/\/castingcrowns.com\/\">Casting Crowns<\/a> has a song called <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/vaia32TsPq0\">Lifesong<\/a>.&nbsp; I have always loved the lyrics:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-text-align-center is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>Let my lifesong sing to you<\/em><\/p><p><em>I want to sign your name<\/em><\/p><p><em>To the end of this day<\/em><\/p><p><em>Lord led my heart was true<\/em><\/p><p><em>Let my lifesong sing to you<\/em><br><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>When Jesus becomes our conductor, our lifesong will be full of joy.<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our lifesong begins the minute we wake up in the morning.&nbsp; The chorus of our song is defined by who we give the baton to each day.&nbsp; If we hand it to Jesus, no matter what our circumstances are, we will sing songs of joy.&nbsp; Unfortunately, most of the time we don\u2019t pass the baton.  We hold onto it, afraid to let it go.&nbsp; We write words on it: worry, fear, anxiety, sadness.  We ruminate on them over and over again.  Our lifesong doesn\u2019t sing a note, our thoughts are too heavy to carry a tune.&nbsp; Let go of the baton, give it to Jesus.  Let Him be the conductor of your life.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lauren_Daigle\">Lauren Daigle<\/a> has handed the baton to Jesus.&nbsp; She is a platinum crossover musician because she is following Him, completely.&nbsp; And her songs weren\u2019t always at number one.  In fact, she was cut twice from American Idol, not making it into the final round of 24 contestants.&nbsp; Yet she continued to sing a lifesong of joy.  Lauren\u2019s heart for the Lord can be seen by all as she sings her lifesong back to Him.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you tell Alexa to play the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Lauren-Daigle\/e\/B01H0S2ZDO\">Lauren Daigle playlist<\/a>, you\u2019ll hear Lauren describe what each song means to her.\u00a0 When she talks about \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/sIaT8Jl2zpI\">You Say<\/a>,\u201d she explains how it became her song she sings over herself every night.\u00a0 She uses the words to remind her of who she is, daily.
