As our Creator, He understands how our thoughts lead to our words and actions. If we let our thoughts go down a rabbit hole, it takes us out of the present moment and can easily lead us into a web of lies. If we want to stay focused on truth, we need to keep our eyes on Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paul\u2019s not dismissing problems in his letter to the Philippians. Instead, he teaches believers what to do with their concerns: give them to God. The moment your mind begins to wander into the world of \u201cwhat ifs,\u201d use it as a signal to start praying. The word translated as \u201cworry\u201d carries the idea of anxious thoughts pulling you apart. Prayer helps stop the process and seek the source of peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Don\u2019t deny anxious thoughts; instead, depend on the Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Lord cares about all your concerns, big and small. As a child, I fretted over whether my parents would allow me to spend the night at my friend\u2019s house. I would pray fervently that God would have Mom say, \u201cYes!\u201d The Lord cared about my childish requests as much as He cares about the adult prayers that burden my heart. He wants to connect with us, our hearts with His. Therefore, whatever worries our heart, God wants to know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God knows our needs before we ever ask Him. He wants the personal connection with us that happens when we unload our troubles to Him. The Lord wants us to express our needs to Him and trust Him with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As we thank Him for His work in our lives, our focus shifts from what might happen to what God has already done. Gratitude strengthens faith by reminding us of the Lord\u2019s faithfulness. Paul doesn\u2019t promise immediate solutions; he promises God\u2019s supernatural peace that comes only when we seek the Father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Connecting with the Savior through prayer and thanksgiving shares our thoughts with the Creator. By inviting God into our circumstances, we will discover His divine peace, and He will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Relationship with Jesus gives us peace that flows from trusting Him rather than relying on our own understanding. Anxiety becomes a prompt to pray, knowing everything matters to God.
