With smiles on their faces, they poured sand around his body, leaving only his head showing. Chained to the beach, when the young boy decided he had had enough, it didn\u2019t take long for him to shake the sand off his body and head back into the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes in life, we feel chained to circumstances, unable to change them. Paul wrote four of the New Testament letters while imprisoned, likely chained to the guard: Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon. Describing himself as an \u201cambassador in chains,\u201d Paul knew his circumstances didn\u2019t change his calling. Rather than praying for freedom or comfort, Paul asked for prayer that he would continue to share the gospel fearlessly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paul reminds us that God often works through us right in the middle of limitations, challenges, and unexpected hardships. Whatever \u201cchains\u201d you might face- health concerns, financial stress, grief, disappointment, or uncertainty- the Lord can still use your life to encourage others. Our situations don\u2019t disqualify us from representing Christ. Faithfulness during difficult seasons may speak louder than words ever could.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Like a lighthouse standing on rocky shores, it can&#8217;t stop the storm when the howling winds, crashing waves, and dark clouds come. But it continues to shine faithfully, guiding ships through the darkness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And we can do the same, reflecting God\u2019s light on the dark days of our lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paul continued to shine Jesus\u2019s light, even though confined to chains. God calls us to do the same. We can\u2019t control the storms around us, but we can faithfully reflect the Lord\u2019s light wherever He has placed us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ask God for help.
