You pack snacks, chairs, sunscreen, and everything that you think you need. But if you forget one thing that makes the beach experience possible, getting there, you\u2019ve missed the foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the other hand, you could start with a prayer: \u201cGod, today belongs to you. Lead me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One slight shift leads to a completely different experience. Because you started with the foundation, God\u2019s leading, the day takes on a different tone. You arrive at the beach early, before the crowds, and discover a calm ocean and still air. The day unfolds, little things come up, plans shift, people need things, and unexpected moments happen. But because you started the day with the Lord, you don\u2019t scramble as you did without Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Grounded in the Savior, you respond instead of react.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I like to think of the Lord as my travel guide. Sunday mornings, I pray over my schedule for the upcoming week, asking God not to let me miss any divine appointments. Each morning, I spend time with the Savior, reading His Word, praying, and journaling. As the day unfolds, I know I\u2019ve already given it to the Lord. Come what may, God\u2019s leading the way. And whatever unfolds, He\u2019ll use it for His good, even if I don\u2019t understand how.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSeek first\u201d means choosing to make God\u2019s way, His character, and His will the starting point, not the afterthought. Actively pursuing the Lord causes our perspective to shift as we begin to trust that God sees what we need and works to meet them in ways we can\u2019t always see. The Lord doesn\u2019t promise a life without challenge. Instead, He offers peace that replaces anxiety and trust that replaces striving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seek God first, then trust Him to let the rest fall into place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Journal Questions:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What does \u201cseeking God first\u201d look like in the first moments of my day?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What worries am I carrying that I need to release, trusting God with my needs?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What is one area of my life where I\u2019ve been putting something else first, and what would it look like to intentionally put God first there today?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Beach Vibe:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Start your day anchored in God, and everything else will fall into place like waves finding the shore.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two-minute read.
