On a training trip to South Beach in Miami, I had a unique experience. While sitting on the hotel&#8217;s front porch, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, my roommate asked a spiritual question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhat do you think about God?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Surrounded by people I didn\u2019t know, my heart raced, and my breath quickened. One thought ran through my mind, \u201cIf you deny me, I\u2019ll deny you.\u201d At the time, I didn\u2019t know it came from Matthew 10:33, but I knew I didn\u2019t want to deny Jesus. So when it came to my turn to answer, in a small, quiet voice, I answered. \u201cI believe in Jesus.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHallelujah, praise the Lord!\u201d My friend to the right of me said, his voice loud and full of passion. \u201cMy aunt says I\u2019m lost. But I ain\u2019t lost. I know Jesus.\u201d And with that, he shared the gospel with the group, bold and unashamed. I will never forget that moment, or my friend who taught me so many lessons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paul wrote Romans at a time when people valued status, intellect, and power. Making a bold statement about the crucified Savior didn\u2019t fit in with the thinking of the time. And often it doesn\u2019t fit in with our era. But when you truly understand the worth of the gospel, embarrassment quickly gives way to conviction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the years since that moment on the porch, I\u2019ve become bolder in proclaiming the gospel, wanting people to know and love Jesus as their Lord and Savior. If we don\u2019t tell the good news, we do people a disservice. Christ came for all people, and all people should hear the good news.
