Aligning our hearts with God\u2019s and desiring what He wants keeps us attached to the source. Branches don\u2019t struggle to produce fruit; they simply stay connected to the vine, and life flows naturally from that connection. When we firmly attach ourselves to the Savior, we will begin to produce fruit without any effort, allowing His Spirit to flow through us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Abide means to remain, to stay, to dwell. Developing a firm attachment to the Savior requires us to spend time with Him regularly. One study revealed that transformation occurs in people\u2019s lives when they spend four or more days reading God\u2019s word. Adopted into the Lord\u2019s family through Jesus, we solidify the connection by spending time with the Savior each day. The more time we spend with Christ, the more fruit we will produce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We must accept that we can\u2019t produce fruit without the divine connection. Our humanity too easily takes control when we don\u2019t submit to the Savior. If we become separated from the vine, we can\u2019t produce anything. A branch detached from the vine quickly withers and dies. God calls us to live dependent on Him, not independent from Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Without Jesus, we can do nothing, meaning we can\u2019t produce fruit without an attachment to the vine. God reframes what truly matters. The things of this world will pass away, but the spiritual fruit we produce from our connection to the Savior has eternal value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Abiding in Christ in practical terms means thinking about Him throughout the day. Staying rooted in His word and responding to the Holy Spirit\u2019s prompts. And it means trusting God when life feels uncertain, and you don\u2019t have all the answers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Staying tuned into the Savior and abiding in Him will lead to a harvest of fruit that will last well past this life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Reflection:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Where in your life are you trying to produce fruit without staying connected to the source?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Joy Thought:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Stay attached to the Savior, and you will produce fruit effortlessly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two-minute read.
