Yesterday, I talked about speed enforcement in our new area, which has helped me become a better driver.\u00a0 Besides speeding, I now drive on two-lane roads more than ever. Living in the city, I drove on highways, and I rarely ever drove on country roads like I do now.\u00a0 Making the adjustment to cars coming directly at me, I have one thought: \u201cDon\u2019t swerve. Eyes on the road, hands on the wheel, stay in your lane.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following God on the narrow path develops a similar mindset.\u00a0 Keep the Son in your eyes and don\u2019t swerve to the left or right.\u00a0 Every situation has the same question: What\u2019s the right thing to do? With every person we meet, we must ask: What\u2019s the best way to love them?\u00a0 God\u2019s word gives us the answers to the questions.\u00a0 As Solomon writes in the book of Ecclesiastes, \u201cthere\u2019s nothing new under the sun\u201d (1:9).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of all the commandments, Christ told us the most important one: \u201clove God, love others\u201d (Mark 12:30-31).\u00a0 The Savior commands us to love, and we can only do that by staying in our lane and following Him closely.\u00a0 When we do, He\u2019ll give us everything we need to fulfill the command.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lord,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank You for giving us a lane and the help to stay in it.\u00a0 Please give us the strength we need to love God and others with our whole heart, mind, and soul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
