{"id":1109,"date":"2019-10-04T04:00:23","date_gmt":"2019-10-04T09:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shop.honestreflections.net\/?p=1109"},"modified":"2019-09-04T08:59:02","modified_gmt":"2019-09-04T13:59:02","slug":"stand-in-his-love","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.honestreflections.net\/index.php\/2019\/10\/04\/stand-in-his-love\/","title":{"rendered":"STAND IN HIS LOVE"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>\u201cWhen Jesus overheard what was said, He told the synagogue leader, \u201cDon\u2019t be afraid.\u00a0 Only believe.\u201d  Mark 5:36 CSB<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The verse above comes from a time when Jesus was talking to a large crowd.\u00a0 A guy named Jarius, who was a synagogue leader, came to him and begged Him to heal his sick daughter.\u00a0 As Jesus goes with him to help, a woman who has been bleeding for 12 years touches His robe and is healed because of her faith in Jesus.\u00a0 Think what it would be like to have Aunt Flo (a woman\u2019s monthly menstruation) visit for 12 solid years.  I know I would be desperate for healing from that agony.\u00a0 As Jesus stops to address her, telling her &#8220;your faith has saved you.  Go in peace and be healed&#8221; (Mark 5: 34 CSB), people came from Jarius\u2019s house.  His daughter had died and they had come to tell him.\u00a0 Jesus overhears the conversation, that is when He tells Jarius, \u201cDon\u2019t be afraid.  Only believe.\u201d  He does raise the daughter back to life and Jarius faith grows even stronger.\u00a0 The entire story can be found in Mark 5:21-43.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jarius and the bleeding woman were both filled with fear for two very different reasons.\u00a0 But they had faith in the love of Jesus.  Both of them trusted Him to fix their problems, both of them trusted Him to help them overcome their fears.\u00a0 There is a song I love to listen too, especially when I am facing a fear.  \u201cStand in His Love,\u201d by Bethel Music helps me remember Jesus&#8217; love is stronger than any of my fears:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When darkness tries to roll over my bones<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When sorrow comes to steal the joy I own<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When brokenness and pain is all I know<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oh, I won&#8217;t be shaken, no, I won&#8217;t be shaken<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My fear doesn&#8217;t stand a chance<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I stand in Your love (Chorus)<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shame no longer has a place to hide<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am not a captive to the lies<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m not afraid to leave my past behind<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oh, I won&#8217;t be shaken, no, I won&#8217;t be shaken!<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My fear doesn&#8217;t stand a chance<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I stand in Your love (Chorus)<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jarius and the bleeding woman could relate to these lyrics.&nbsp; Jarius was filled with sorrow as he faced his daughters death.&nbsp; The poor woman bleeding was filled with shame, brokenness and pain.&nbsp; But they knew Whose love to stand in and they were saved from their agony.&nbsp; We can do the same today.
