Confidence in Christ<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Such confidence we have through Christ toward God.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 Corinthians 3:4<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Writing to the Corinthians, Paul tells them the source of his confidence, Christ.\u00a0 The apostle doesn\u2019t rely on his judgment, disowning the ability to make a competent assessment based on his merit.\u00a0 Instead, Paul gives all glory to God for his work, following Jesus and imitating the Savior his confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the early 1900s, WWJD became a famous saying because of Charles Sheldon\u2019s book, \u201cIn His Steps: What Would Jesus Do?\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 The abbreviation became popular again in the 1990s as Christ\u2019s followers used it to help them act like the Savior.\u00a0\u00a0 Youth across America wore wristbands with the WWJD sprawled across them, helping them make moral choices based on Biblical principles.\u00a0 Paul says that his confidence in Christ comes from doing what Jesus did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, when we respond to the world around us like Jesus, we can have confidence in our actions.\u00a0 The Great Commandment in Mark 12:30-31 simplifies our decision: love God and others.\u00a0 Jesus led with love in all things.\u00a0 He came to Earth as an act of love, led His ministry, and died on the cross, all to show His affection for us.\u00a0 When we lead with love, even if we fail, we can have confidence; the Lord works all things out for those who believe and trust Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
